The project addresses depopulation, limited cultural infrastructure, and lack of opportunities for rural creatives by establishing cross-border cooperation and artistic residencies. Through cultural mapping, community-led co-creation, training programmes, and sustainable entrepreneurship support, CULTREK strengthens local cultural ecosystems and promotes innovation in rural creative industries. The project integrates sustainability, social inclusion, and digital transition as core priorities. Artistic residencies will engage local communities in preserving and reinterpreting tangible and intangible heritage, while a final exhibition event in Brussels will showcase project outcomes internationally. CULTREK ultimately contributes to economic resilience, social cohesion, and long-term sustainable development of undervalued rural territories across Europe.
